See the relevant sections for pricing.

We offer a large selection of sizes, if the exact size you require is not here, please order the next size up and then either email us with your prefered size or fill in the form on the 'upload' page. If you require the printed canvas unstretched, ie. delivered in a roll then please go here..

What is included when I order a canvas print?
Minor retouching is included, we always optimise the image for the best results. This includes: Exposure correction so the highlights, whites, blacks, and shadows are near what they should be. We may sharpen the image, resize and format the image to the size needed for your print size and proportion and remove any date stamp. We can change your image to sepia or perform any other correction you require at no extra cost.

If you strictly want us NOT TO TOUCH ANYTHING please say so (we won't be offended).
How do you want the images for calendars?
We can accept files in nearly any format. jpg is fine, as is tiff, psd or eps. Please bear in mind that the image area on most of the range is LANDSCAPE so if you want it to fill the whole area please crop your images acordingly.
Proportion?
In order not to distort your image when we enlarge it, the image must remain in proportion to its original proportions. If we have to crop large areas of the image, we will proof it by email with you before printing. If you require the image to be printed in any way other than it has been sent to us (ie change to mono) then please let us know.
What size of photo file is best for producing a canvas?
Any photograph can be enlarged. In nearly every case, your picture is being enlarged to fit the canvas. Please remember that the larger and sharper the image to start with, the better the outcome. Small marks and scratches on the photograph may be magnified - but we'll do our best to clean these out. If you want A1 or larger your jpeg file should be about 5-10 megabytes and in any case, the top setting your camera goes to. If we scan your photo we usually blow it up to full size and can scan at resolutions up to 4000dpi to get the very best possible from your original. You can send files of any size on our system (but please try to keep below 30Meg as any extra detail would not be noticed over this size)

What format should the files be?
jpeg (.jpg) is probably best, though we want to point out that a small jpeg blown to a large size may not come out at the best quality and will be quite grainy. A raw .jpg file that is around 2Meg will be OK for canvasses up to A3 and 5 or 6 Meg for A2 and larger sizes. Any smaller, we do struggle to get the best out of it. We can open any other kind of file so don't worry. Please don't send .bmp files as they seem to have life of their own...

Having said that, we really don't like Word or Corel or Publisher documents for this, just the original picture please.
How do I care for the canvas print?
Your canvas print should be treated as you would any piece of art.
How should I send you photographs or artwork
We accept digital image files on CD, DVD, Zip, USB key ring thingy, by attachment to an email, or (preferably) through our file transfer system on the website.

If you have photographs or artwork to send, please ensure that it is packed in a decent rigid envelope and wrapped as necessary. We cannot be held responsible for postal damage but I can promise you right now that once it reaches our factory we will treat it with the love and care that we give our own children.
Can have a color photo made black & white?
Yes, colour or black and white is the same price. When converting to black and white, by the way, we don't just select 'greyscale' and be done with it, oh no, we reset all the highlights, midtones and shadows to enure stunning results. The more contrasty a photo the more it suits mono reproduction generally. Please make your selection when ordering on the canvas page.
About scanning
If you are scanning in your own picture, please, please ensure that your scanner glass is clean and check for any scratches or dust once scanned, as these things really show up when the picture is blown up.

How about really old or damaged photos?
We love doing these. The results are never, ever any worse that the original. By that we mean we repair scratches, fill in blank areas from rips where possible and breathe lots of new life into those old grainy pictures. A medium size canvas of a family member, sometimes the only picture surviving can make an exceptionally poignant gift. We have taken orders where from one original, six or more copies have then been send to family members worldwide.
What if I want reprints later ?
We archive your digital images. You can simply contact us for additional prints as needed.

Cropping

The most important thing about cropping is that whatever happens we get your original uncropped image! That way we can correct any errors.

Most of the time, how an image should be cropped is obvious and no instructions are necessary. Let us do the work! All you should try to ensure is that the proportions of the size of the Photobloc you choose are similar to those of the final cropped image you want to see. In other words, is your cropped image square or oblong and does your chosen Photobloc correspond?

If however you want to pass on specific instructions ? no problem.
- If your images are being sent by post include a sketch or photocopy showing your requirements.
- If your images are being emailed, the originals can be accompanied by a version you have cropped to show your requirements. The on-line order form will guide you through this simple process. Failing this there is a space on the order form to pass on written instructions.

Create and save a cropped copy of the original image before entering the on-line order form.

We will do our upmost to follow your instructions but some adjustment may be necessary to fit images to specific Gallery 72sizes.

Still meaning to do something with those
works of art your little kids have brought home?

Fridge door covered and drawers full?

Let us help!! Simply send us your childs masterpiece and we will scan
the image and apply it to whatever size Photobloc you choose.

We know you will be delighted with the result!

Maximum scan size: A3 (297x300mm / 11.5x16.5in)

Your original kids art will be returned with your completed Photobloc.

Do I get my original photographs, images, or artwork back? Yes – with your Photobloc canvas. We will also archive your image should it be required again in the future.

How long will my order take? If you allow 14 days for delivery you won’t be disappointed. If you need a rush order for a specific date, there is a £5.00 surcharge for delivery within 5 working days of receipt of your proof approval. See RUSH ORDERS on the main menu.

Will my canvas colours fade? No, we offer a lifetime guarantee.

What if I do not own the image I want to send? It is your responsibility to ensure you are not infringing copyright and have the necessary permissions to reproduce an image onto canvas.

Which will give the best results, a digital image or an original photograph? This is all down to resolution in digital images. In both cases the bigger the image the better. With digital photographs, where possible the highest quality setting should be used but don’t worry if your image size is small – we have some superb software to enlarge without any significant drop in quality. The best results are probably achieved when we scan an original photograph, negative or transparency, but there is not a lot in it. In any case, if we think that your image is not suitable, we will return it and refund your money rather than disappoint you.

What types of digital files do you accept? All types - but only JPEGs if emailing the image. Do not compress the image when converting to a JPEG.

How do I specify how I want the image cropped? – See CROPPING on the main menu.

Can you only print photographs onto canvas? Anything can be printed - photograph, negative, transparency, digital image, painting or illustration. We can print your own designs, just send us the file. We can scan and print your children’s paintings (the size of your original must not exceed A3, 420x300mm)

Do you do any more sizes?
We offer a made to measure service. Just let us know what size you want by email or telephone and we will calculate a price.

My picture is not in a digital format?
All you have to do is post it to us as the address, which appears at the bottom of the page. As with a digital format the overall size depends on the original size & quality of the image, please contact us for more information.

Will the colours I see on screen be the same as the finished canvas?
We cannot guarantee this as individual monitor settings can vary. If there is a particular colour match you need please contact us for more info (you will need either a pantone or a colour swatch to post to us).

Will my canvas be the same the image I see online?
Images will vary depending on the size you have ordered due to scale and proportion.

How do I care for my canvas?
To maintain & increase the lifespan of your canvas do not expose continuous, strong sunlight or moisture. Do not clean with a wet/damp cloth; a light hoover with the brush attachment will get rid of any dust on the surface.

What are the size guidelines?
The canvases are made to measure - so you identify your photo and wall hanging space and give us the dimensions for production. It makes sense to keep the shape of the photo to the shape of the canvas or cropping will be required.
